• Half Glass Door: It is a double-paned insulated glass unit in the top half of the door, tempered for safety. The lower half of the door is made of cedarwood. Various colors are available.
• Full Wood Door: Two layers of tongue and groove paneling (inside and outside). Choose the type of cedarwood.
Do you need a special door for a sauna?
Yes, It must be wholly insulated, so the sauna's heat does not dissipate. Sauna doors must be heat resistant and resistant to temperature fluctuations and mold formation.
Sauna doors should also be easily opened and not have any locks; in the event of an accident or an emergency, people should easily walk out of the room.
What size should a sauna door be?
A sauna door typically measures approximately 33.8 x 80 inches in the case of a full glass door; a wooden door typically measures 24 x 80 inches.
You may notice that the measurements for your sauna door openings are smaller than the standard door openings in a house. Sauna doors are usually built smaller to retain as much heat inside the sauna as possible.
You can install a sauna door made from wood, glass, or a combination of both. Regardless of the material you choose, ensure that it has enough insulation. This is the most important quality for a sauna door.
