Build Your Own Sauna!

Do you want something created? Designed? or Custom to your home? Do you have a project you are working on and just need some material? Well, look no further! We are the BEST build your own sauna option.

1. Start by picking the sauna wood your project will need this in order to get the process started. We carry the best sauna wood, grade A spanish cedar, no knots and thermally modified soft wood that not only looks amazing but SMELLS amazing!

2. Every Sauna being built indoor will need a sauna vapor barrier. This is made to help block any moisture from getting inside the walls of your sauna. Make sure you do NOT forget to add a vapor barrier to your sauna.

3. Now it is time for a very important part of building your sauna, and that is the HEATER! Now there are a bunch of different options and combinations of heaters you can use. When you are choosing your heater keep in mind the:
Size of your sauna
What you can install yourself or what may require an electrician or contractor
What heater you think looks best
Finally, if it has a solid rock tray.

There are 3 options, wood burning heaters, gas heaters and electric sauna heaters. When choosing the right one make sure you take into consideration the options above, and communicate with a member of our team to make sure you get the right size heater!

4. Now that you have your wood and heater picked out it is time to look at how you want your sauna door to look! We have solid core wood doors and we have solid glass doors. A solid glass door is a good option for someone who wants something more aesthetic however these doors can be a little more difficult to seal.
The wood door with glass panel is a common door used on saunas. This door does have better insulation and is ideal for most projects, however it is totally up to you!

5. Now, a small but important piece is needed so that we do not have big holes in your sauna! Pick the vent that matches your look and feel, 9/10 times the cedar vent cover is the ideal choice and the one we recommend.

6. The flooring of the sauna is important and we have many different options to choose from here, the tru-tile flooring and the duckboard are common choices that need be added to every sauna build. If you need any assistance on how much or what is best for your sauna, contact us and we will be sure to help you!

7. Now comes the fun part... Sauna accessories! These are a fun and exciting way to make your sauna stand out. Himalayan salt panels, wooden bucket and ladle, timers and sauna lights are all different accessories you can add to sauna!

Finally, Now that you have your sauna built you it is time for production and to meet with someone on our team to make sure your sauna is designed properly and measured with success. It its important to note that there is a 8-10 week lead time on built saunas, we will keep you updated and make sure your dream sauna meets your expectations and is designed to perfection!
