Natural Gas and Propane Sauna Heaters

Gas heaters generate a heating quality that cannot be achieved by an electric heater. Gas offers a warm, friendly heat that greatly enhances the sauna experience. In addition to quality, in most parts of the world, it costs less to operate than electric heaters (up to 50% less).

Gas Sauna heaters are designed to draw cool air in through the body of the heater, which is then heated as the burner heats the body of the heater. This heats up the room. The heat is retained inside the heater with baffles that are welded in place and reduce the airflow, and inside the sauna rocks. Too much airflow will result in the heater not properly heating the room, while not enough airflow will cause the heater to get hot and trip the safety hi-limit switch.

Choosing a 100% stainless steel gas sauna heater assures you it is a high-quality heater. Some benefits are that they are extremely corrosion, fire, and heat-resistant.

Stainless steel has these attributes because of its oxidation resistance (even at high temperatures.) Before installation, the installer (a certified electrician) should check all parts and connections to ensure a proper fitting.

All Ultra Sauna units are tested and fired in Scandia's production facility to ensure it's working correctly.

If your heater is not firing up right away, it could be due to improper installation and loose connections.
